
Speck dell’Alto Adige Hors d’Oeuvres
Serves 12
Ingredients
½ lb Preferisco Speck Alto Adige P.G.I., thinly sliced
2 cans 90 g Mediterranean Gourmet Anchovy Fillets in Olive Oil
1 lb Shortbread Pastry Dough (Pie Crust can be used)
1 Egg, beaten
Instructions
1. Roll out the pastry dough ant cut into 4×8 inch rectangle. Top each rectangle with a slice of Preferisco Speck. Roll lengthwise and slice the rolls into little rounds. Remove the anchovies from the oil. Top the rest of the pastry rectangles with the anchovies, roll and slice similarly. Brush the rounds with egg and arrange on a greased baking tray. Bake at 350˚F for about 12 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.
